Our GSP wasn’t allowed near our little kids, or in our home much, due to her wild behavior and inability to hold still and not trample everyone and everything. 10 months post training and things are going better than ever!We reached out to Christina because one of our dogs was a very rough player and did not know how to greet other dogs. He would end up scaring the other dog and owner and stressing me out.We did the two week board and train and I am very happy with the results. Christina trained our dog on some basics we had overlooked and then taught us how to communicate with him so that he understood what we were asking. I called Christina to ask about board-and-train. She inquired about my issues with my pup. She immediately problem-solved and told me what to work on. I was impressed. I highly recommend Fusion Dog Training! Our dog has learned to effectively walk on a leash, and we truly enjoy taking him for long walks since he is so well-behaved! He also knows his commands, how to interact nicely with other people and dogs, and behave well in public. Cristina is a great problem-solver when he picks up an 'interesting' quirk to work through, and breaks it down for how we can implement at home. We are very happy to have found Fusion, and the resulting well-behaved dog.

We are very impressed with Christina. She helped our 3 year old dog who did not know how to interact with other dogs and played really rough. He would scare other dogs and their owners. We did the board and train and we are amazed at the difference in our dog. She not only trained our dog but she helped us communicate better with him. I am no longer stressed when we see other dogs on our walks. I now have skill sets to communicate with my dog and he now knows what is expected of him.

Christina is a true gem. There are dog trainers, and then there are “behaviorists”, that are able to determine the root cause of your dog’s problems and issues. We have an extremely smart Standard Schnauzer that was unable to relax and be calm. He constantly wanted to work and please, but would never be calm. We enrolled the dog in Fusion for the 2 week board and train. Christina accessed our dogs issue in just a few days, and the dog that was returned to us was literally transformed into a calm, relaxed joy to have. Cristina is absolutely amazing. She worked my 10 week old puppy into her schedule so that way he could start training right away when he is a little sponge. Her training meets the dog where ever they are at, she has all the tools to help but only uses the ones your dogs needs. Whenever my puppy had a good handle on her training she wouldn't waste time repeating it over and over, she would help clean it up and move on to the next thing. She makes the most out of her time and is kind, patient, and really a dog whisperer. Before I started her Perfect Puppy course I was starting to question if getting a puppy was the right choice, each training with her made our relationship stronger and gave me piece of mind and now I get to enjoy the time with my puppy!

Bailey, our rescued dog is four years old. She is sweet, funny, does all kinds of tricks, she’s mellow and loyal. Perfect in every way except she has never mastered to come to us when we give her the “come” command… we have spent a ton of money on training to conquer this very very important skill… Cristina, with Fusion Dog Training came highly recommended by a person I respect and trust.We signed up for six lessons with Cristina after she assessed Bailey and came up with a training plan. Christina is an expert at dog training. We have a puppy, English Creme golden retriever that is stubborn and loves to get into everything as well as pull as hard as possible on a leash. Just completed the Puppy training program at Fusion. I cannot be more pleased with the results. Our family has been dog owners/lovers for over 40 years. We have tried the PetSmart and other puppy training programs in the past but none come close to the results that Cristina and her program provided. We have now realized a well behaved 7 month Golden Retriever, who has taken to all the methods and will honestly out perform most adult dogs when it comes to behavior and discipline. The proof is in his performance and it was the best money I could have spent. All areas, situations and bad habits of our wild puppy were dealt with. I should have done this will all my previous dogs and would have saved a lot of stress and anxiety. Best investment I could have made. I HIGHLY recommend Cristina from Fusion Dog Training. I adopted a rescue named Bandit who was very reactive to people and dogs. I dreaded our outside walks/hikes because of Bandit’s behavior. He would lunge, bark, and go berserk. People would stare at us and I felt so embarrassed! Then I went on a camping trip and Bandit nipped two dogs. That was the last straw for me. I debated giving Bandit up as I wasn’t sure how I could handle a dog with this behavior. I REALLY didn’t want to give Bandit up, but I didn’t know of any other option. I was currently working with a trainer and things were not improving AT ALL. I felt very sad, lost, and defeated. My vet recommended Cristina as a trainer for reactive dogs. Cristina was amazing! She is a dog whisperer! She helps you interpret your dog’s behavior and shows you how to provide boundaries and structure for your pup. This structure makes your pup feel safe. She taught me tools, so that I have the confidence and skills to navigate situations. Bandit is calmer, less reactive, and SO MUCH happier! We go on walks and hikes! Bandit does not go berserk and people do not stare! We even go for walks in Home Depot, Lowe’s, Pet Smart, and Scheel’s! Cristina also helped me figure out how to take Bandit in a pet carrier on a plane to visit my family. I don’t know how I would have made it without her! Bandit is now part of my life in every way! I never wanted a puppy again and somehow my husband and daughter convinced me otherwise. At 6 months I was losing my mind. Cristina has saved our family and our house from the terror of puppyhood. Nothing was safe in our house and we couldn’t walk him on a leash for fear of being pulled to the next town over! Our sweet (I can say that now) Louie heels, stays in place, doesn’t jump or eat everything in sight. His boot camp was worth every single penny. We are so grateful. We have a 95-pound yellow lab, who was unmanageable on a leash. He pulled to no end. And ran away constantly. We now take him on public transportation and have him in restaurants with zero issue. I adopted a 3yr old Frenchie Luna, who was VERY set in her ways- even walking her was exhausting b/c she got very aggressive with other dogs. After practicing the tools Cristina showed me in training Luna is much calmer around other dogs. Cristina has done wonders for my 8 month old golden retriever, Archie. We enrolled in the Perfect Puppy shortly after bringing Archie home. At the time he was refusing to use a crate, hated to ride in the car, and was biting the kids. Cristina fixed most of that right away in our first telephone conversation before we even had an in-person training session. 8 lessons later, Archie loves the car, uses the crate daily, and has a much better disposition with the kids. He comes when called, gets along great with other pups, and walks like a dream on a leash. I can’t recommend Cristina and Fusion Dog Training highly enough! Definitely money we’ll spent!

We've had our Doberman, Sophie, for years and never enjoyed walking with her because she would pull hard on her leash and get overly excited and bark nonstop when she saw people, dogs, or deer in our neighborhood. Christina told me Sophie didn't want to feel this way but I didn't understand how that could ever change. After sessions with Christina, Sophie is calm around others, doesn't pull and is fun to walk with now.Lucy, our Vizsla, was just an overly excited, out-of-control puppy! I have tried at least 6 different trainers, have taken many classes, and have spent thousand of dollars and hours trying to get my dog to behave on a leash and to not be aggressive when we walk past other dogs. I found Fusion Dog Training online as a specialist in reactive dogs. Besides it being scary and embarrassing, my shoulders and back were killing me. My pup busted through my fence and attacked a little dog, resulting in a warning from the Humane Society. Christina was my last attempt at being able to keep my dog. Christina personalized the training, so that Wilma was responsive and so that I was able to control her. Not only can I walk past dogs without any issues, if there is an issue, I know how to deal with it. I'm confident that I can walk her without it becoming a dangerous situation. Before I would dread walking her and people would be terrified and give me dirty looks. I look forward to our walks now! I HIGHLY recommend Christina. Cristina helped train *me* and my Cane Corso puppy. She is extremely knowledgeable and considers the dog and their personality when teaching the owner what to do. This is a long overdue review! I sent my then 1.5 year old rambunctious Border Collie to the 3 week board and train program in Sept 2020. As most Border Collies are, she was smart as a whip, outsmarting my attempts at training her and driving us both crazy. She pulled constantly, and zig-zagged on my runs which was a shame because it'd be a great outlet for her energy. She rarely listened if I didn't have a ball or frisbee, and I felt awful using her items of joy to lure her back inside. Three extremely short weeks later, the dog I got back was completely different but still her awesome self! Learning and doing was never her issue but slowing down and taking a second was.Cristina and Margaret did an amazing job! Not only did they agree to take on an extra dog (due to my circumstances I was only supposed to be in the area for a few months) but were beyond communicative the whole time! I got plenty of pics and updates on her progress and when I got her back I was so happy with the result! She had a great heel, place, down, and general commands were all solid. But mostly she'd lost her "crazy eyes" look at every little sound and thing!When I went to pick her up, they gave me a mini lesson on the collar and how to continue to work with her. It was obvious my pup LOVED working with them and was sad to leave (but still happy to see me :D). Since then Cristina has been super responsive to my questions, helping me from afar with my training progress (introduction to cats) through videos and chats. She keeps the Facebook Fusion Dog Train page up and running for group training events - that I keep meaning to attend, were I closer. This has been a top notch experience! Freyja's (my dog) training has... slipped a bit, nothing drastic and all completely my own doing for not being on top of her known bad habits. She's still great on leash and we go on runs often, I don't worry about bringing her places because I know she knows how to settle down (even if she REALLY doesn't want to), and she comes when I call. And I now have the tools to improve the old skills and help her pick up new ones. Last year our family moved from Texas, where we had a huge yard, to a townhouse in Monument. Our Pit/Lab mix, Dakota, began experiencing anxiety and paranoia that made interacting with her unpleasant and dangerous at times. The biggest issue was that she was difficult to control her when on a leash because of her lack of experience and size. She would also run away any time she saw an opportunity.I was very pregnant and debating if I needed to re-home her when I met with Cristina. It was an emotional time but I ultimately decided that we would bring her to board and train for 3 weeks. I received texts and videos of Dakota every few days, demonstrating skills and exhibiting confidence I had never seen in her before. I was extremely skeptical and afraid that this wouldn’t stick after bringing her home. Fortunately, we saw a very different side of Dakota. My husband and I met with Cristina and her assistant on different occasions at our home and at the park to make sure that we understood how to continue working on these skills with Dakota and stay consistent. After her training, walks with Dakota were so much fun! I think the whole family felt a lot less frustration with her and she eventually stopped trying to run away. We were even able to take her on camping trips and family outings!Unfortunately, I have not been able to utilize group classes that Cristina hosts, but I always appreciate the invitations.One issue that did eventually become a problem again was Dakota’s anxiety and paranoia. Cristina had tried some natural supplements that did not make a difference during training, so when I brought this up with her, she suggested I talk to our vet about medication. Dakota has been taking a low dose of Fluoxetine for about 4 months now and it was really just what she needed to help her relax.I am so glad that we invested the time and money into Dakota by working with Fusion Dog Training! I feel that my dog’s unique needs were taken in to consideration and that both Dakota and our family were given the right tools to be successful. I brought my 10 month old hound mix puppy to Cristina for a 2 week board and train. I wanted her first boarding experience to be a positive one and i saw that Cristina would provide that and more. Our main goals were to establish off leash behavior and general training (sit, stay, place, loose leash, etc). Cristina reached those goals and more. Her recall was excellent and she would behave very well offleash and on leash. I would recommend Cristina for her board and train or just general training.

Fusion is amazing! We recently put our 7 month old Siberian Husky through the 3-week board and train program. We have a typical Husky puppy...he was pulling on a leash, counter surfing, jumping on people and other dogs, lack of recall etc. In addition, after trying another trainer prior to Fusion, we began to have problems with the crate and he would no longer stay in without having major anxiety...to the point of us not leaving him alone, ever. Cristina spent so much time with me, exchanging emails and talking about our situation. We dropped off our crazy pup and picked up a new improved version of him! His personality shines through all of the skills he learned. I can basically walk my Husky holding the leash with my finger 99% of the time. No pulling, he can pass by other dogs without breaking heel, and he no longer jumps on people when greeting. He will calmly wait in his crate to be freed. What he has learned and what we have learned, has made our family life with our boy so much more enjoyable. He is able to enjoy time off-leash and we can’t wait to snowshoe with him this winter so he can enjoy his element even more. The process was awesome. We have our pups enrolled in the 3 week board and train program. I was very hesitant because I had hired another trainer and after a few sessions, I realized that it was not a good fit for us and was out quite a bit of money. Cristina Hell trained our Australian Shepherd. She wouldn’t come when called and she was difficult on the leash. She got aggressive towards other dogs on the trail. After being at Fusion Dog Training Co., we can go on our daily walks mostly off leash! She comes right away when called, she sits and waits, she’s much better on the leash and learned how to handle her around other dogs....Cristina not only trained Bella, she trained me how to work with her! FDTC also has a wonderful 5 acre property to work with dogs and let them run and play together. I highly recommend Fusion Dog Training Co.!

We dropped our unobidient 6 month old German Shepherd off for 3 weeks with Cristina and picked up a transformed well behaved dog. Cristina did amazing things and my dog now attentively listens to me. I would highly recommend the 3 week board and train class, my dog learned all the basics plus many advanced commands like off leash heel and being a loyal porch dog even with other dogs walking by as distractions. I have a 1 year old Siberian Husky male who was not coming when called off leash. Fearing he would take off if he ever got off leash I began researching numerous options for dog training in the northern El Paso County/Monument/Black Forest/Douglas County area. I located Cristina with Fusion Dog Training. After contacting Cristina through her website she promptly called me and discussed my goals and expectations regarding my Husky’s recall deficiencies. Cristina offered numerous training program options. I selected 6 private lessons with the focus on off leash recall.After our initial session with Cristina I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly as did my Husky. She has the perfect demeanor as an instructor and fully explained what my Husky and I needed to do along with homework assignments. Cristina requested updates on our progress in-between training sessions and provide training recommendations as necessary. During the training sessions she provided positive feedback on our progress without hesitating to say what we needed work on.We were exposed to other dogs as distractions at her training location as well as the local public dog park. We love our German Shepherd/Husky Bo. But he jumped on people, couldn’t be trusted near open doors, couldn’t walk on a leash, and was just too excitable for a house with 3 young kids. Enter Cristina and Fusion Dog Training. GOODNESS. The difference was night and day. He is so calm now, doesn’t jump, can heel on a leash, and can have fun off leash adventures. He had often been such a point of stress in our home, and now is just a fun companion to have around. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had. Cristina is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly (to both my wife and I, and our dog!). She sent us consistent updates throughout his two-week Board & Train experience, and worked with our busy schedule for his “Go Home” session. In that session, she patiently showed us how to be the best owners for Bo, and helped us be confident in using the same commands she had taught him. The calm we now have in our house, and the improved friendship we have with our Bo was worth every single penny. Beyond words thrilled.

I can’t recommend Cristina and Fusion Dog Training enough. She helped create a whole new and enjoyable life for Hank (and me!) and for that my heart overflows with appreciation.Hank is a rescue off of the reservation. When he came to me he had no real understanding of the world. Sweet (and insecure) as pie, Hank learned how to be a survivor, and with that came some unsavory habits that just didn’t jive well in the human/dog interface of the world. Most notably (and scary!) on the ranch, or out hiking, Hank would wander (or run!) off and be gone for hours, or even overnight. That is just a no-go in rural Colorado where ranchers have the right to protect their livestock, and there is too much wildlife, and thousands of acres of National Forest and BLM land all around us to get lost and in trouble in.Ultimately Hank was relegated to a fenced yard. His boundless energy couldn’t really be expressed in the yard and I knew that this wasn’t a good life for him. That is why I brought him to Cristina for a two-week board and train to see if he could get the good dog life skills he deserved.The Hank that arrived at Cristina’s doorstep is not the Hank who returned home. Today, Hank is having a blast and truly is living his best life. He roams the ranch with me, hikes up in the forest with me and my daughter, plays in the river, and does this all off leash and he NEVER RUNS AWAY!Thank you, Cristina, for all that you did for Hank – and me! We so appreciate you.

Cristina transformed our Aussiedoodle puppy from a strong willed stubborn boy to a very well trained great addition to our family. Couldn’t be more pleased!

Cristina is amazing!! She was able to help our 4 month old Bernedoodle achieve amazing results during his board and train session for 2 weeks...I highly recommend her for any dog needing any kind of training. Her passion for dogs is like nothing I have ever seen before and our little guy at just 4 months came home with great instruction. He sits, stays, heels (walks calmly and without tugging), stays on his place while we cook and eat dinner, and any of his little annoying puppy behaviors (like chewing things he shouldn’t or jumping) are easily stopped with a calm, stern “leave-it” command. I was nervous about the price at first because I wasn’t sure what the results would be, but I can tell you...this lady does not charge nearly enough for the product she puts out. Highly recommend her! Whether for boarding, training or the amazing board and train combination like we did.

Cristina is absolutely fantastic. She is so kind, PATIENT, and has so much knowledge. Every question I have, she answers in detail. My German Shepherd now walks calmly on a leash next to me, comes when called, loves other dogs, lays down at my feet in restraunts and so much more!! Truly this training lasts and we had so much fun learning! She has completely exceeded my expectations and we are so thankful for Cristina!

We used Cristina six years ago when my husband got a German Shepherd puppy. Cristina was a god send! Stella (our shepherd) was a very hyper puppy and Cristina trained her and US. We were amazed and how well Stella was when we picked her up after training each day. Cristina not only trains your dog but then trains you. Stella was my husband dog, so when he passed I asked Cristina to help me with Stella once again as she was not wanting to listen to me very well. This time I chose the two week stay with Cristina. Two weeks later I got back a new dog! Now that I’ve gotten another dog, two years old and total untrained for my granddaughter we are using Cristina once again. Just would not go anywhere else! You’ll be amazed! I know we were both times! And will be again when we get Bambi back.I’ve also used the daycare and over night stays. Stella loves it there! Not to many places want to have large dogs like my Stella. But I can count on Cristina and have no worries when I’m gone! I recommend Christina to anyone . Thank you Cristina

I have known Cristina for several years and always been impressed by her knowledge of dog behavior as well as her gentle, yet firm demeanor when working with a dog. Most recently we did a 2 week board and train with our 3-year old male puli. It was very successful.
